An Anecdotal Eye: the work of Thomas Bewick

Thomas Bewick's work on show in East Anglia.
The unique work of Thomas Bewick (1753-1828), one of Britain’s greatest engravers and illustrators will be on show at a special exhibition at the Museum of East Anglian Life this Autumn and Winter.
A countryman at heart, Bewick loved the life and lore of the fields, the farms and rivers,  finding much to cherish in the recording of this lore. His observations of animals and birds are exquisite illustrations, sensitively portraying the creatures in their natural habitat.
The exhibition will run from Saturday 26th October 2013 until Sunday 23rd February 2014 and will be free of charge.
